This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on distress in patients with cardiovascular diseases. The present study was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test format and a control group. The statistical population studied was all cardiovascular patients in Qazvin in 1404. Thirty people were selected from the aforementioned statistical population using a convenience sampling method and were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups of 15 people. Data analysis was performed using multivariate and univariate covariance tests with SPSS27 software. The results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy had a significant effect of 0.61 on distress in cardiac patients
