In the present era, literacy does not only include individual skills, but also includes a set of social actions that use new technologies to communicate. This research examines the effect of teaching information technology literacy in the classroom on the problem solving of third-grade elementary school students in Shahed Elementary School in Takestan County. We know that students in each country are the future builders of that country, so the presence of students who have high levels of information technology literacy can increase educational performance and problem solving and lead to an increase in their performance. The main question of this research is whether teaching information technology literacy in the classroom has an effect on the problem solving of third-grade elementary school students in Shahed Elementary School in Takestan County. Predicting the effect of teaching information technology literacy on problem solving in the first-grade elementary classroom, predicting the effect of teaching information technology literacy on problem solving in the first-grade elementary classroom, and predicting the effect of teaching Internet information literacy in the classroom on the problem solving of first-grade elementary students are the main objectives of this research. In this study, the analysis of covariance and mixed between-subjects analysis of variance test, or two-way ANOVA design, were used to analyze the data obtained from the pre-test and post-test results. The results of the study showed that teaching information technology literacy in the classroom has a positive effect on the problem solving of first-year elementary school students, and teaching Internet information literacy in the classroom has a positive effect on the problem solving of first-year elementary school students, and also teaching children's programming literacy in the classroom has a positive effect on the problem solving of first-year elementary school students. The results of this study can be used in the future to provide a comprehensive educational protocol to improve information technology literacy.
